Taubman Institute staff highlighted one of the institute’s more eye-catching projects at U-M’s recent Researchpalooza expo, which showcases dozens of programs throughout Michigan Medicine.
The TI booth focused on the Taubman Nanobody Initiative, whose investigators are exploring the novel properties of camelid animals such as llamas in order to generate novel nanobodies for therapeutic, diagnostic, and research purposes.
Participants pinned the tail on the llama and played other games to win treats such as llama-shaped cookies and candy, as well as the grand prize of a stuffed llama toy, while learning more about institute-funded biomedical research and technology.
