Research from U-M faculty: Yu (Ray) Zuo, MD, Jason Knight, MD, PhD and Yogendra Kanthi, MD, describing abnormal blood clotting in some COVID-19 patients was recently published in the journal, Science Translational Medicine. Their findings are also featured in the TIME magazine article, “Scientists Have Uncovered the Likely Cause of a Serious COVID-19 Symptom: Blood Clotting.”
The trio has received Taubman Institute funding for their TIIP, “Dipyridamole to prevent Coronavirus Exacerbation of Respiratory Status (DICER).”
