Kellogg Eye Center physician-researcher, Rajesh Rao, MD, collaborated with ophthalmologists from Emory University Medical School to study concerns patients have about safely getting treatment for their ongoing eye disease during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The results of this study, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association Ophthalmology, showed that doctors and clinics need to inform patients about the safety precautions being taken to minimize exposure to the virus and how the patients must maintain their regimen of eye clinic appointments to maintain their vision.
