Taubman Institute Emerging Scholar Michelle Kahlenberg, MD, PhD, recently was selected for a prestigious lectureship by the Rheumatology Research Foundation.
Dr. Kahlenberg is a rheumatologist and assistant professor of internal medicine at U-M. In addition to caring for patients, she runs a research laboratory that specializes in the study of systemic lupus erythematosus, an autoimmune disorder.
She was named the Edmund L. Dubois Memorial Lecturer at the American College of Rheumatology Meeting in San Diego in November. This lectureship was established in memory of Dr. Edmund Dubois to honor his significant contributions to the study of lupus. The lectureship is presented each year at the ACR/ARHP Annual Meeting and features an outstanding investigator in the area of lupus research.
